VoiceThread is a web-based service that allows a student or teacher to create a presentation of images and add a narration. Others in the class can add voice comments. You can see an example recorded by a student at another school.
The school has a license for all students and teachers. Access it through the Application Launcher on any Google page. You will be prompted to authenticate with your school Google account.
